With Windows 7 Software available now a lot of people are wondering if they will need to buy a new operating system. I have decided to wait myself and I thought I would share my reasons with anyone who may be confused by the changes. If you are looking to buy an operating system the Windows XP software may still be the better choice.
Vista has come down a lot in price but this was a disappointment to me from the beginning. Any new features or improvements were eclipsed by the lag it caused to most computer systems. That fact alone was enough to turn off most buyers. Granted with increased memory it actually ran fairly well but most systems with that much memory still sold for quiet a bit of money when Vista hit the market.
Linux is an operating system that I personally like to make fun of. I even read one article suggesting finding a user group to join for users of Linux. This program is more for programmers and those with a lot of tech knowledge. At the very least you need a lot of time to spend to get the grasp of using it which I don’t have.
Windows 7 is of course the newest software available on the market. This may soon replace XP and Vista both and Linux may be almost completely forgotten. There will of course be a few glitches; how could there not be? Most of these will be fixable with out much problem and most users may never even know they existed. Probably the biggest problem with Windows 7 is the price. This operating system is still a bit pricy for those looking for a replacement for what ever reason.
Windows XP software did all we hoped it would. It was a fresh new look and it is what we judge other systems by. As far as operating systems goes it is the best we have had so far. Until something comes out that really wows us the way this does I think a lot of people may opt to stay with what they have as long as they have a choice.
The biggest problem faced now is finding a new copy. The price has come down considerably and tends to be very affordable if you can get your hands on one. With 2 other systems out since its release you may find that the number of copies for sale dwindles considerably once Windows 7 finds a foot hold.
I intend to stay with XP a while longer, at least until the verdict is in on Windows 7. Maybe you just don’t like change or maybe you simply don’t have a lot of free time to deal with a new product. What ever your reasons are XP is still out there if you look around.
